Growing Boy

Just look at that sweet face. Grayson loves his meal times! He's pretty much eating anything that we eat now, which makes it so much easier --no more smashing up veggies to "just the right consistency"--this was one picky eater! He loves signing "all done" and "more". We are currently working on "please" instead of the whine that comes along with wanting down.

Grayson is enjoying all of his new toys from Christmas and will happily play for long periods of time. It's so funny to watch him pushing cars around and making the "vrrooom" sound--like all little boys naturally do-amazing!

Mimi and Papa came for a short visit this past weekend. They had fun playing together and Grayson proudly showed off his new tricks. He loves any kind of music and he claps his hands to the beat.
He hasn't really said any words yet, but we're pretty sure we heard his first attempt at "mama" as he was crawling towards me wanting to be picked up. We are really enjoying this sweet little stage and trying to enjoy every moment as we know it will quickly pass.

These precious days are flying by. He's such a boy--look at that crazy hair and the runny nose!

First Snow

We got our first snow of the season yesterday. It wasn't much, but enough to have a white ground the next morning.
Here is Grayson watching the snow as it is beginning to fall. ( I know you can't really see the flakes in the picture).
And here he is the next day. He didn't care too much for the cold snow. Bless his heart--he's been pretty sick all week so that probably had alot to do with it too. We were only outside about 1 minute and he had had enough! Oh well....hopefully we'll have several more snows this winter, so we'll try again.

Christmas with Family

We had such a good time spending time with both families over the holidays. Here's Grayson with both of his cousins. I made these little outfits so they could have a matching picture! It was pretty much impossible to get all three of them looking at the camera at the same time. Oh well..maybe next year!
Grayson and Noah giving each other kisses!
I just love those rosy cheeks!!
Grayson's new riding toy from Uncle Willy and Aunt Bonnie.
Grayson riding in the truck with Papa--I love this picture!!

Don't miss the pics with Santa below (sorry they're a little late)!

Pictures with Santa

On Christmas Eve, we finally made it back down to the square to sit in Santa's lap. We waited an hour in the freezing cold!!

It was worth it--that was one amazing Santa--he looks so real, doesn't he?!! Grayson didn't seem to mind Santa at all. However, he didn't really smile for us. But these pictures were too cute not to post!

Our Family Christmas

Sunday afternoon we had our Christmas with Grayson. We've got a pretty busy week ahead and didn't want to have to travel with the toys, and since Grayson has no clue what is going on this year, we decided to celebrate a little early.
Grayson loved ripping the paper on the gifts--I think he would have been happy with just paper!

Here's Grayson with his best bud, Dakota. We invited Dakota into the living room to join us for the special occasion.

I think Dakota was more interested in Grayson's new toys rather than her own! Before the end of the night, Dakota's new toy was already in 3 pieces!! Oh well, at least she had fun with it for a little while!
Merry Christmas!!

Oh yeah!! Do you want to know what Chad and I got each other for Christmas?!?!?
A window seat! We hired someone to do this little project for us. I just love the way it turned out! Chad and I are going to finish it off ourselves. We still need to order doors for the front, paint, and make a cushion for the seat. Yay for more storage!!!

First Christmas

Grayson is so interested in all the decorations and presents under the tree!! Now that he's crawling, he heads straight to the presents!!

He thinks it's so funny when I tell him "no". Can you tell he's a bit anxious?!?
We can't wait to share with him the true meaning of Christmas!
