This weekend, Grayson went to a birthday party for 2 of his little friends. It was at a small gym and he LOVED it! He was a little overwhelmed at first, but quickly got adjusted to running free with all the mats and trampolines.
There was even a large foam pit that he enjoyed with his daddy. And of course, the extra balls lying around made him extremely happy!
He somewhat participated in the parachute activity, although he ran off to look at himself in the wall mirror a few seconds after they started! He even devoured a whole piece of pizza and a piece of cake!! (even though he had a sandwich right before the party!) I regret not getting a picture of Grace and William--they were adorable!! Thanks for inviting us to your party!!
Grayson has had a high fever since the middle of the week. We went to the doctor today and found out he has an ear infection. She thought he might have strep throat, but the test was negative thankfully. So, hopefully he'll recover over the weekend and be back to feeling well next week. In the meantime, he's been reading lots of books and enjoying staying at home. I took this video yesterday of him reading.
This past week Grayson got to get together with a few of his little friends. Emily, Lydda Grace, and baby Wade were in town visiting with their Aunt Bethany. So Grayson and I got to meet up with them for a playground date! Grayson mostly enjoyed just running around the playground, rather than the actual equipment. Lydda Grace wanted to play on any of the equipment that she saw other children using. It was really cute! Somehow between chasing kiddos around, Emily and I had some time to chat!
Later in the week, we met up with some friends at the YMCA pool. This is Leigh--another one of Grayson's friends. It was very difficult to get the 2 of them to sit still for a quick picture! Once again, Grayson enjoyed running around the outskirts of the pool rather than actually being in it! So you have a small clue as to what my life has been like lately...chasing after an active toddler!! It is tiring, but I love it! He seems to get cuter everyday!!
Last weekend we headed to Covington, Ga to visit with Chad's grandparents and his mom, who was also visiting, for the day.
Grayson LOVED his great-grandmother Kilgore!! He especially liked this new game she made up of throwing your arms up in the air and then throwing your body to the floor!! He put on a show for everyone! Grandma also got some love and lots of playtime. Here we all are: (My mom was also there to take the picture) It was such a fun visit! We should really do it more often since we're only an hour away!! Grayson is missing all of his great-grands and grandparents now that we're back home and have no more visitors!! I wish he could see all of them more often!! We are so blessed to have such a loving family on both sides!!
Grayson got to spend lots of time with the great-grands while we were in Clinton. Grayson is their only great-grandchild, so he gets lots of love and attention when they're around!!
Since he's walking now, he doesn't slow down to sit in anyone's lap as much as he used to! However, he still enjoyed listening to Grandmama's silly songs that she likes to sing to him! Mimi made Grayson another outfit. It's kind of hard to see in the picture, but it has smocked ducks across the front. It's so cute! Thanks, Mimi!!
