The past week

Our church had a little festival last Sunday and Grayson won the costume contest for the cutest!! I have to admit, he made a precious giraffe--and he stayed in his costume the whole night!


Cheering on the tigers!! In the middle of the game, we had to rush Chad to the Urgent Care to get stitches in his hand. But don't worry, when we got home, there were still 15 minutes left in the game--so we got to see the end to an amazing game!! Go tigers!!
The weather has been crazy!! We had a cold spell and pulled out all the hats and mittens (which were too little!!)-- and now we're having beautiful, warm, fall weather. I wish it would stay like this for a while!!
Grayson now loves to stand (with help) and he's getting really good at crawling backwards!! He also loves to talk now. He's saying "dadadadada" alot and it is sooo cute!!

7 months

Grayson has finally figured out to smile at the camera. As soon as I pulled it out, he gave me this precious smile!

Grayson was telling Dakota a very interesting story--Dakota seemed to understand every word. They are enjoying the heated floors--When we installed these 2 years ago, I was so excited to one day have a little baby crawling all over those warm floors.

Mountain Weekend

This weekend we took a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN with the family. We had a great time catching up with everyone--it's not often that we can all be together.

Grayson enjoyed himself and got lots of attention!


Check out the trashcans behind us. The night before, a huge bear (probably over 300 lbs.) came onto the porch and drug one of the trashcans down to the ground behind the house. We watched in amazement as the bear tore into our trash! We had never seen a bear that large (and so close!) --it topped off the whole mountain experience!

I can't believe my little baby is almost 7 months! He's changing so quickly...I just love being able to be home with him....I don't want to miss anything! He's so busy playing with toys now...it was hard to even get him to look up at me for a picture.

We're enjoying this weather. We love to go for long walks in the afternoons.
These are some neighbors that I watch for a few hours once a week. We're having a "picnic" in the sunroom. Grayson has so much fun watching other children--he just laughs and stares.
