A Visit to the Park and an Update

We visited the park a few weeks ago for a little playdate with a friend. But, considering that she is only a few months old, she wasn't exactly able to "play". However, Grayson enjoyed himself!


The only time I could get him to sit still was to eat his sandwich. The boy is very serious about eating, can you tell?


We are staying extremely busy here at home. Chad recently installed all new windows
(28 total!) so he is finishing up all the trim work on the interior. It is so slow....then I'll be left to do the painting, while he puts up new trim work on the exterior. Then there will be more painting!! I also started repainting my sunroom--my plan is to turn it into a playroom. We're having to get very creative with space around here as we anticipate the arrival of a new baby next year!!
So, we're basically slammed with projects around the house (what's new, right?!?) and at the same time keeping up with this precious busy toddler!! I'll do my best to update more often (you hear that, Bonnie?!?).
This weekend we're headed to the mountains for a family RETREAT!! I can't wait to have a break from all these weekend projects!!

Fun with Cousins

It was so much fun to see Grayson with his cousins all week. Noah is 2 and Sophie is almost 1!! Noah and Grayson really played well together this time and even gave each other LOTS of hugs!! I can't believe I didn't get a single picture of them hugging!

We attempted to get a nice picture, but it was nearly impossible to get them all 3 looking at the camera at one time. This one pretty much defines their personalities for now, though.

Pops paid for all the kiddos to ride some of the rides at the pavilion. They loved it!!

Grayson didn't care too much for the swimming pool--the water was really cold! Oh well, Noah and Sophie didn't mind it!

We went to a park one afternoon so the boys could run around. Grayson misses his cousins already. I wish we could live closer so they could spend lots more time together! We're looking forward to the holidays already!

Beach Fun 2010

We spent last week visiting with Chad's parents in Little River. Since they live a few minutes from the beach, we headed out to the beach almost everyday. This was Grayson's first time playing in the ocean and he loved every minute of it!!

He was a little unsure of the waves at first, but quickly figured it out and loved it! They would crash on top of him and he'd just get back up and keep waiting for more!


He spent most of his time chasing the birds--he thought they were so funny! I guess he's never been that close to a bird before.

This is what he looked like within 2 minutes of leaving the beach the first day. He was completely exhausted!
I'll have to do another post on Grayson's time with his cousins. That was another exciting part of our trip!

Birthday Party

This weekend, Grayson went to a birthday party for 2 of his little friends. It was at a small gym and he LOVED it! He was a little overwhelmed at first, but quickly got adjusted to running free with all the mats and trampolines.


There was even a large foam pit that he enjoyed with his daddy. And of course, the extra balls lying around made him extremely happy!



He somewhat participated in the parachute activity, although he ran off to look at himself in the wall mirror a few seconds after they started!

He even devoured a whole piece of pizza and a piece of cake!! (even though he had a sandwich right before the party!)
I regret not getting a picture of Grace and William--they were adorable!! Thanks for inviting us to your party!!

Grayson's New Ride

Needless to say, Grayson is feeling better after his few days with an ear infection.
